Why did you pursue a career in law?
I chose to pursue a career in law in order to help those in need. Despite its complexity, I believe that the law offers a unique opportunity for lawyers, policymakers, and other legal professionals to create meaningful, long-lasting change for their clients and the general public. Additionally, I would like to expand upon my current collection of lawyer jokes.
What is your favorite food?
Salt & Pepper Shrimp from the Castle Restaurant in Edson, Alberta.
Who inspires you?
My parents. I am eternally grateful for them and their constant assurance, unwavering support, and patience. They inspire me each and every day to work my hardest, appreciate my opportunities, and treat others with kindness.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Mount Robson, where my family has had a cabin since the 1960s. There is no cell service, which makes it the best place to unplug and unwind, especially after a round of final exams.
What is the most challenging or fun part of your job?
Most challenging? Deciding how to answer these questions. Most fun? Enjoying the snacks in the lunch room.
What would your superhero power be?
Teleportation. Very few things irritate me more than being stuck in traffic so I would appreciate the ability to avoid commuting.
What is your most memorable moment in your career?
Unrelated to law, but developing the “ShelterPod” emergency housing project with the Edson & District Recycling Society.
If you were a Crayola crayon, what would the name of your color be?
Cynical Cyan.
